Koeppel Nissan is excited to announce the changes to the old fuel economy labels as it shares what has been added to the vehicle fuel mileage on the sticker.
JACKSON HEIGHTS, N.Y. – Fuel mileage is the number one piece of information that most consumers look for when purchasing a vehicle. Some don’t think about the greenhouse emissions or smog pollutants that are created by driving a vehicle they are interested in.
Koeppel Nissan is sharing with customers that these two items, plus a list of other features, have been approved to be added to the new fuel economy labels for new cars and trucks.
“We feel the changes being made to the fuel economy label will be a great benefit to our customers,” said Ami Ferrera, Marketing Director for Koeppel Auto Group. “With so many new pieces of information offered about the efficiency of the vehicle, shoppers will be able to make an even more informed decision when the time comes. Also, since buyers will be able to see how a vehicle compares to others in the same category, it will really help them make a smarter buying decision.”
Koeppel Nissan wants to share that fuel mileage will still be included and prominently featured. The new changes will be the biggest overhaul of the sticker for 30 years. The main information consumers will read on the new sticker include:
• A five-year estimate of how much customers will save or spend on fuel
• Smog and pollution emission ratings
• Fuel or electricity used over 100 miles
• Electric vehicle driving and charging ranges
• Smartphone QR Codes for online access of fuel economy and environmental and energy factors
Koeppel Nissan is letting customers know the stickers will be required for 2013 models, but shoppers may see them beforehand if dealerships choose to use them earlier. It is important for the fuel economy stickers to change to coincide with the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007, which requires information about fuel economy, greenhouse gases and smog-forming pollutants to be available on new cars.
For those customers looking to find the best fuel economy possible, Koeppel Nissan offers a comprehensive list of vehicle fuel savers on its website with information for each so customers may decide which fits them the best.
